A video clip documented King Abdullah II's call to the technical staff and national team players after the end of the Asian Cup, in which Al-Nashma achieved a historic feat by finishing second for the first time.
Jordan finished second after losing 3–1 to Qatar in the final match of the tournament.
The King sent a special congratulations to coach Hussein Amouta and his staff, praised the achievement achieved, and expressed his intention to especially honor them upon their return to the homeland.
In his speech, he stressed the need for continued support from all government and private bodies for the sport and teams, and planning for the times to come, so that Jordanian football continues to shine.
Jordan national team captain Ehsan Haddad insisted that losing the final would not affect the team's morale, adding that they will aim to remain at this level and continue to shine in the Asian qualifiers for the World Cup in order to please the Jordanian people. Emphasis on desire.
The king also asked specifically about the team's star Yazan Al-Naimat, who shone during the tournament. Players interacted with the call in a specific way, expressing their happiness with it and Commander Favor described it through his account as a call worth its “weight in gold”.
King had wished the team all the best through his account.
Sorry, Nshama, everyone's attention was on you at this particular tournament. You gave an amazing and high level performance. Full support to our team for this beautiful game and high patriotic spirit.
We congratulate our Qatari brothers and my brother Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad for winning the Asian Cup and organizing it well. It is a matter of pride for Arabs to reach the final pic.twitter.com/GhbIPFQEXr
