One in 10 children in Gaza suffers from severe malnutrition

One in 10 children under the age of five in Gaza suffers from severe malnutrition, according to preliminary data from the UN Arm Measurement, which shows the level of undernourishment among children.

The ActionAid charity said some people were resorting to eating grass.

“Everyone in Gaza is now suffering from hunger, and people only get 1.5 or two liters of non-potable water per day to meet all their needs,” he said.

The health ministry in Gaza said Friday that at least 27,947 Palestinians have been confirmed dead since the start of the Israeli offensive, with 67,459 others injured. She adds that there are many other people who may still be buried under the debris left behind by the Israeli attack.
