Spanish League: Barcelona's awakening continues and Verona faltering


Barcelona secured their second consecutive win in the Spanish Football League by defeating their hosts Alaves 3–1 in the 23rd round of the competition.

Barcelona increased its tally to 50 points in third place, six points behind second-placed Verona, which drew 0-0 with Real Sociedad, and seven points behind leaders Real Madrid, which it faces on Sunday. Will be from Atletico Madrid.

Alaves, on the other hand, remained stable at 26 points in twelfth place.

Valencia's victory
Valencia returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 2-1 win over bottom club Almeria.

Valencia seemed to be heading for an easy win with two goals from Hugo Duro (14) and Ukrainian Roman Yaremchuk (23) in the first half, but failed to extend their lead in the second half with a goal from Sergio Arribas. (50).

Valencia temporarily increased its score to 35 points in seventh place, awaiting the results of the remaining stage. While Almeria, who have not tasted victory this season, suffered their 17th defeat, leaving their score stable in last 20th place on 6 points. Granada drew 1-1 with Las Palmas.
