The Minister of Finance, Aziz Fayed, and the Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Tayeb Zitouni, will pay a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and the Republic of Senegal.
The statement of the Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion, today, Tuesday, stated that, in implementation of the instructions of Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the Republic, the ministers, Minister of Finance, Aziz Fayed, and Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Tayeb Zitouni, will travel on a working visit to both the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and the Republic of Senegal, on September 20 and 21, 2023. In order to supervise the inauguration of banks and permanent exhibitions for Algerian products, as a first step to embody economic cooperation and African integration, as well as to accompany economic operators to discuss opportunities for fruitful cooperation and partnership in both countries.
During this visit, permanent exhibitions of Algerian products will be inaugurated in Nouakchott and Dakar, aiming to enhance trade exchange and encourage investment in local sectors.
These exhibitions will be an ideal platform for displaying Algerian products and services and promoting internal and external trade.
In addition, branches of public banks will be launched in Mauritania and Senegal with the aim of providing high-quality banking services and accompanying investors who are working to promote local and international trade exchanges. These branches will be a center for providing financial services and enhancing economic sustainability in the region.
This visit comes within the framework of the government’s commitment to strengthen cooperation with neighboring countries and enhance close bilateral ties. These economic movements reflect the dedication to achieving sustainable development and enhancing economic stability in the region.
