Russia continues to remain silent on reports that the leader of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has very serious health problems.
The Kremlin said today (19.9.2023) that Russia has nothing to say about the health of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, as it is not the responsibility of the presidential administration to directly comment on anyone’s health.
“I have nothing to add,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters when asked about Ramzan Kadyrov’s health.
“It is not the responsibility of the presidential administration to give messages about the state of health of everyone,” added the representative of the Russian government.
Reports on social media said the 46-year-old, who has been handpicked by Russian President Vladimir Putin for his role in leading Chechnya, is in poor health. Representatives for Kadyrov did not return repeated phone calls for comment.
The Kremlin said yesterday that it had no information about Kadyrov’s health.
