The Algerian football team will face Cape Verde and Egypt in friendly matches during the FIFA window in October 2023, the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) announced on Monday.
The Greens will first face Cape Verde on Thursday, October 12 at the Chahid Hamlaoui stadium in Constantine (8:00 p.m.), then will travel to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, to face Egypt on Monday, October 16.
These friendly meetings will serve as preparation for the next international events, namely, the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup which will begin in November and the African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
As a reminder, Algeria qualified for the final phase of the African Cup of Nations scheduled in Ivory Coast from January 13 to February 11, 2024, finishing well at the top of Group F with 16 points. Just like Cape Verde and Egypt who have also validated their ticket to Ivory Coast.
