The Starfield comfortably secured the top spot in European video game charts in its launch week, according to figures published by GSD. Bethesda’s game is the fastest-selling new IP of the year and the fifth-fastest-selling game overall for 2023, ahead of Final Fantasy 16 and Resident Evil 4 Remake, but behind Hogwarts Legacy, Diablo IV, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Still, Starfield surpassed Forza Horizon 5 on the list of best Xbox game launches this generation.
