In an email, Activision’s Chris Schnakenberg claims that Nintendo’s new platform—referred to as “OF Switch“- perhaps technically on par with the PS4 and Xbox One. Schnakenberg noted, “It would be helpful to ensure early access to prototypes of development hardware to have this knowledge early.”
Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick reportedly spoke with Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa on December 15, 2022.
Additionally, The Verge reports that Kotick testified in Microsoft’s case against the FTC that Activision would consider bringing Call of Duty to the Switch once it was informed of the technical specifications of Nintendo’s next console. Kotick also noted that Activision “missed an opportunity” to bring older Call of Duty games to the Switch.
But looking ahead, Kotick said he’d “like to keep in mind” that the company will bring future Call of Duty games to a Nintendo platform, but he can’t confirm one way or the other until he can Activision to learn more about the platform.
