A serious family crime shocked Përmet yesterday, where an elderly man raped his wife to death. The event took place in the village of Pëllumbare. Everything was discovered by the servant of the two elderly people, who when she went to the apartment found the elderly woman with the initials AP dead. Journalist Brikena Meta reports for BalkanWeb that the 82-year-old man with the initials LP had been abusing his wife for some time, while in the last two years, he had become even more aggressive, after their daughter had lost her life.
Meanwhile, after accompanying the elderly man to the police, he did not feel well and was urgently transported to the hospital in Gjirokastra and then to Tirana, where he suffered a heart attack. Currently, his state of health is unknown, while he must give an account for the murder of his wife, who allegedly hit her several times with a wooden stick.

Around 06:30 in the morning, the citizen with the initials V. Dh., who works as a maid in the apartment of the elderly couple with the initials LP, 82 years old and AP, 80 years old, found in the apartment where she serves, missing alive and with signs of violence, the citizen of AP, 80 years old.
Immediately, the investigative team went to the scene, and from the first investigative actions, it is suspected that the 80-year-old woman was hit with hard objects (a wooden stick) by her husband, a citizen of LP, a resident of the village of Pëllumbare. The Police Services have escorted the citizen with the initials LP, previously criminally prosecuted for the criminal offense “Domestic Violence”, to the Përmet Police Station for further procedural actions.
The investigative group under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office continues its work to clarify the circumstances of this event.
