The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has also responded to the leader of AAK, Ramush Haradinaj, who has requested Kurti’s resignation.
Kurti said that “the opposition sometimes demands my resignation, sometimes my dismissal and sometimes they demand early elections”.
“Early elections do not benefit either the government or the opposition. The opposition does not benefit from losing, and the government does not benefit from the elections because the opposition disappears”, said Kurti.
The Prime Minister added that “I am interested in defeating the opposition in the elections and not eliminating it”.
The chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, has demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Kurti, and to return the mandate to the people.
“The situation created after yesterday’s failure in Brussels, with a tendency to deepen the crisis, with serious consequences for the people of Kosovo, requires urgent reflection by Kurti and his government. He must resign and return the mandate to the people. He should do this action even if he thinks he is on the right path. He is obliged to ask the people what they think about his actions. In a democracy, elections are the best answer”, stated Haradinaj.
