With his child in his arms, Elon Musk went to meet the Turkish president yesterday, Sunday, at the so-called “Turkish House” in New York.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan offered the little boy a ball and after a while in front of the cameras he asked the tech magnate “where is your wife?”
Laughing awkwardly, the 52-year-old (who has 10 children from 3 different partners) replied to Erdogan that the child’s mother is in San Francisco and after a while added that they are divorced and that he mainly takes care of the little one.
Musk welcomed a cute son, named X AE A-XII, with Canadian singer Grimes in 2020. They have since had two more children together.
During their meeting yesterday at the building that houses Turkey’s permanent mission to the UN and the Turkish consulate in New York, Erdogan urged the Tesla CEO to build his carmaker’s seventh factory in Turkey.
The Turkish president briefed the founder of Tesla and SpaceX on his country’s technological achievements, his vision for the digitalization of the Turkish public sector and the national strategy for Artificial Intelligence, according to a statement from Turkey’s Communications Directorate.
Erdogan also hinted that opportunities for cooperation with SpaceX could emerge in Turkey’s space program and invited Musk to the Teknofest aerospace and technology festival to be held later this month in Izmir.
