Today, Sunday, Mohamed Abdel Hafeez Hani, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, chaired a meeting with the directors of the grain and dry legumes cooperatives (CCLS) at the national level, devoted to setting the final preparations for the plowing and sowing campaign for the 2023/2024 season and supplying the national market with dry legumes.
In the presence of the Secretary-General of the National Union of Algerian Peasants UNPA, the Director-General of the Algerian Professional Grain Bureau, and the directors of grain and dry legumes cooperatives at the national level (52 cooperatives), Hani Al-Wazir gave strict instructions to all managers on the necessity of flooding the market in all states of the country with various dry legumes as a matter of urgency and to work in coordination with the department directors. Agricultural, commercial and specialized departments, by providing all economic and industrial dealers, wholesalers and retailers with specific prices through all points of sale.
The Minister also listened to a presentation about the abundance of dry legumes at the Algerian Professional Grain Bureau, especially in light of the exclusivity of importing dry legumes from the Bureau and the extent of supplying all cooperatives across the country. The Bureau also has significant and sufficient quantities of dry legumes and rice.
