The external urban security officers of the municipality of Saleh Bou-Sha’ar (south of Skikda) were able to arrest and paralyze the activity of 10 people active within neighborhood gangs, as was learned today, Sunday, from the media and public relations cell of the state security.
According to the same cell, 10 people were arrested for being involved in cases of “creating and organizing a neighborhood gang, engaging in a neighborhood gang, intentionally destroying someone else’s property, threatening and possessing sharp weapons without legal justification, and intentional beating and wounding with a sharp weapon.”
The same source explained, “The facts of the case are due to the security services receiving a call for help from citizens that violent fights with knives had occurred in the municipality of Saleh Bou Al-Sha’ar at intermittent times, as the operational teams organized an immediate intervention operation supported by the mobile squad of the Judicial Police of Harouch.”
The operational teams were able to arrest the 10 members of the gang participating in the fights and take them to the security headquarters to open an investigation into the case in coordination with the competent prosecution office at the Haroush Court, as was explained.
