The organic law on Information, establishing the principles and rules governing the activity of information and its free exercise, was published in the latest issue of the Official Journal (JO).
this new law establishes a regulatory authority for the written press and the electronic press and an independent national audiovisual regulatory authority.
The Law also requires that the media must provide continuous training and improve the knowledge of journalists, and public bodies and institutions are required to guarantee journalists’ access to information.
The journalist also benefits from literary and artistic property rights over his works.
