Various videos have been published on social networks showing Albanian immigrants removing electronic bracelets from their ankles.
The Telegraph writes that their reaction comes after the Home Secretary said she would not rule out expanding the use of electronic tracking devices for asylum seekers arriving in Britain.
According to her, this comes as a measure after the increase in the number of immigrants.
The Telegraph reports that a man, who was asked: ‘Where are the police?’ jokingly replies: ‘At the police station. I took it off myself.’
Albanians made up 28 percent of foreign offenders on tags in 2022, according to data obtained by the Chief Inspector of Borders and Immigration.
