“In September of ’44, my father left, I was 14 years old. Only I have children. He behaved well with his mother. He was not an angry person, he even left all the control at home to my mother.
From the end of 1949 we were interned. In the year that I was interned, the comedy was also made, maybe that was one of the reasons why it was published the most. I have not seen the comedy, it was embarrassing for me that my father was played. I was at school, in the second grade of high school, Qemal Stafa, it was the premiere the first night it was to be given and everyone was there, Enver Hoxha, Mehmet Shehu and others from the Bureau… but there was also a Soviet woman, a teacher.
When I went to school the next day, great frenzy, people’s curiosity had increased, and the word that the son played himself came out, and some people came out and said to me ‘how are you making fun of dad and that’, I told them ‘I no it wasn’t me’.
The same thing at school. The first class that day I had Russian, she said ‘Mulleti, last night in the theater I saw you…’, these classmates wanted so much, ‘this is it’. Then he calmed the children down and asked me. ‘where is father? In Italy’ I told him.
I have met Robert Ndrenika, some 6-7 years ago. I don’t hold a grudge against him. A friend even says to Ndrenika, ‘is this your son?'”, says the son of Qazim Mullet.
