Switzerland will donate a remote-controlled demining vehicle, a truck with a trailer and spare parts to the authorities in Kiev in September for three years. The total cost of these technical means is 1.2 million francs (more than 1.35 million dollars).
The report says that the military department will transfer to the Ukrainian emergency service a remote-controlled demining tool in areas contaminated since the beginning of the conflict with mines, cluster munitions and explosive military remnants.
In addition to a tracked vehicle capable of clearing anti-personnel mines, the technical equipment transferred to Kiev includes a truck with a trailer and a set of spare parts for three years, the report said.
On August 29, the Swiss Digger Foundation handed over the demining vehicle to the Department of Defense. In September, the Van For Life association will deliver this equipment to Ukraine. On the other hand, the Swiss Digger Foundation will organize field training of Ukrainian specialists.
