At least 13 people were killed in Tajikistan after flooding caused by heavy rains, the Central Asian country’s Emergency Committee said.
The deaths occurred in Vahdat and Rudaki districts, east and south of the capital, Dushanbe, which were hit by storms and heavy rain, authorities said, adding that flash floods also damaged roads.
The committee said the risk of landslides remains high.
President Emomali Rahmon sent condolences to the families of the victims, his office said.
