Horror and creepiness. These feelings are evoked by the video from Australia that shows a 5-meter python meandering on the roof of our family’s house, while they carelessly eat their lunch.
The video from Australia with the python has gone viral on Tik Tok and has more than 12 million views. The footage shows the massive reptile meandering across the roof and sprawled out against a tree, its head poking through the branches.
Of course, those who were in the house at the time seemed to take the python’s visit… cool. Naturally, they were startled when he poked his head out of the branches and looked at them, with a little girl running scared and screaming.
“It’s horrible huh?”, the woman taking the video can be heard saying, with another nearby commenting and laughing, presumably out of embarrassment. “How are we going to remove him?”, the child wonders, with a woman answering him: “We will not remove him.”
“Only in Australia would you see a 5m long snake in the suburbs,” captioned the video on Tik Tok, with users expressing their horror in the comments while others said they never want to visit Australia.

A herpetologist, Snake Catcher Dan, warns people not to approach such ferocious reptiles because they may bite if they feel threatened, although under normal circumstances they are not dangerous to humans.
“Pythons of this species have 80 to 100 small teeth, but a larger one can cause damage if it gets its hands on you,” explains Snake Catcher Dan.
