Mr. Trump’s legal troubles will not be part of President Joe Biden’s campaign strategy for the 2024 election, Mr. Biden’s campaign co-chairman, Cedric Richmond, told ABC.
“But what I will say about President Biden and Vice President Harris is that they have always focused on the American people. So they will continue working to reduce costs, raise wages and strengthen the middle class,” he said.
But as President Biden’s age continues to worry Democratic voters, independent Sen. Bernie Sanders, in an interview on NBC, suggested returning attention to the policies at stake.
“Do you believe that women have the right to control their bodies? The president has been strong on this issue. Do you think climate change is real? Or do you agree with the Republicans that this problem does not exist?” asked Senator Sanders.
Meanwhile, former President Trump, who has denied all charges, is trying to use the criminal investigation to advance his presidential campaign. Part of this effort is the use of his photograph taken by the Atlanta prison authority, which is being placed on t-shirts, mugs and other items for fundraising purposes./VOA
