The military council in Niger also gave the Nigerian ambassador 48 hours to leave the country, according to what was revealed by the French Press Agency.
And the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed in a statement that, given “the refusal of the Nigerian ambassador in Niamey to respond” to her invitation to “conduct an interview” on Friday, and “other actions of the Nigerian government that contradict the interests of Niger,” the authorities decided to “withdraw their consent to accreditation (Ambassador) Mohamed Othman and ask him to leave Niger within 48 hours.
On Friday evening, the French News Agency said that the military council in Niger gave the German ambassador 48 hours to leave the country.
The coup leaders in Niger also demanded that the French ambassador leave the country within 48 hours.
