The Algerian international, Adam Ouanas, suffered a new injury during the match against Croatia’s Rijeka in the qualifying rounds for the European Conference League.
He recently returned from an injury that left him absent from his teammates during the first round of the League, and he scored a special goal against Nantes. Lille President Letang stressed that the matter will not last long and a solution must be found for this situation.
He said after the match in statements carried by the regional newspaper Ouest France: “If we take the tally, there have been repeated injuries. We have to know the reason. We saw him against Nantes. He entered the field, and he has incredible talent, which is the important thing for the club. The coach must have players who are consistent over time and who have the ability to appear regularly and repeat high-level performances in matches.”
He concluded: “We need to find a solution to Adam’s problem. When he is present with us, he can help us. We always need him.”
