The Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” blessed a shooting attack that took place today, Sunday, in Nablus in the West Bank, injuring two Israeli settlers.
“The commando operation in Nablus is a natural response to the occupation’s crimes against our Palestinian people,” Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said in a statement.
Qassem said, “Our people have the right to respond to the occupation’s crimes against our people, our sanctities, and our land by all means.”
He added, “The resistance is continuing and escalating in the West Bank, and it will not stop until the achievement of our people’s goals of freedom and independence.”
According to Israeli sources, two Israeli settlers were injured, one of them seriously, in a shooting attack that targeted their vehicle on Hawara Road, south of Nablus.
After the incident, the Israeli army closed the military checkpoints surrounding the city of Nablus and deployed military reinforcements to pursue the perpetrator of the attack.
