No team could chase more than 256 runs at Buffalo Park in East London. At the end of the match, Bavuma may have said with this in mind that he wanted to keep the opposition within 300 runs.
Bavuma, however, sees such a loss as a stepping stone to gain experience, ‘I took wickets at the start, it would have been better if I could have stopped around 300 runs. But it is a valuable experience. The whole point is to learn something new. We are not losing faith.’
