‘Bus flies into ditch after tire bursts on expressway’

SP Md. Masud Alam said that 17 passengers, including women, have died in this accident so far. The cause of this accident cannot be said for sure yet. However, it was initially reported that the accident occurred due to mechanical failure, excessive speed and burst front right side wheel. The highway police will investigate the incident. The investigation committee will be able to tell the details about the cause of the accident by knowing the fitness of the bus, the license of the driver. For now, it is not possible to confirm who the driver or his assistant was. Identification of the deceased is underway. The injured have been taken to Shibchar Upazila Health Complex.
