Hatem Raslan, treasurer of the General Federation of Egyptian Youth Centers in Minya, said today, Saturday: “The Federation League qualifiers that the governorate witnessed last week showed a high level for the competing teams in various sports.”
And Raslan added: “The talents of male and female players appeared in the qualifiers, which makes us more keen to continue caring for them so that in the future they will have greater representation at a higher level in tournament forums, in order to serve the Egyptian sport and raise its level.”
Hatem Raslan added: “The success of the qualifiers is due to the great preparation of the Federation of Egyptian Youth Centers in the governorate in advance, in addition to the great competition between the participating teams, and the keenness of each of them to achieve victory and prove superiority in all games in the league and the high sportsmanship among the competitors.”
The activities of the sports league qualifiers for the General Federation of Youth Centers of Egypt in Minya Governorate were concluded last week at the Nasser Mallawi Youth Center, in the five-a-side football, handball, basketball, volleyball for girls, table tennis, and exhibitions of products of girls and women’s clubs, which began its activities since last february.
This came in the presence of Dr. Maged Al-Azazy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Federation of Youth Centers of Egypt, Dr. Mandi Mohamed Okasha, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Minya, Dr. Mohamed Suleiman, Treasurer of the Federation, Dr. Mohamed El Sadat, Member of the Board of Directors of the Federation, Dr. Mohamed Hamdy, Assistant Undersecretary, Ahmed El Sawaf. Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federation in Minya, Hatem Raslan, treasurer in the governorate, and Adel Abu El-Ela, former president of the Federation in Minya.
The day’s activities witnessed several artistic and sports performances, then the start of the qualifiers, which started with the football final match between the Nazali Taha and Bani Saeed Youth Centers, which ended with the victory of the Bani Saeed Youth Center in Abu Qurqas, and the Shalgam Youth Center won the table tennis championship, and the volleyball girls won for the Youth Center City A in Minya won the first place, and the Dermos Youth Center and Nasser Mallawi won the girls’ clubs, and the Nasser Mallawi Youth Center team won the handball and basketball championships.
In his speech, Dr. Maged Al-Azazy, Chairman of the General Federation of Egyptian Youth Centers, praised the distinguished organization of the qualifiers and finals, expressing his happiness for his presence in Minya in particular and the governorates of Upper Egypt in general.
Al-Azazy pointed out that Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, is keen to support youth centers, which have become a great edifice in which all activities and programs that suit all members of society are practiced.
