Books – Hassan Morsi:
Journalist Amr Adib commented on the victory of journalist writer Khaled El Balshy over writer Khaled Miri in the elections of the Journalists Syndicate, the results of which appeared yesterday.
Adeeb said during his “Al-Hekaya” program on “mbc Egypt” satellite channel: “It was customary for the elections of the Journalists Syndicate to have what is known as the state’s candidate, and he always won the elections, and sometimes he was in accordance with the desire of the General Assembly.”
Amr Adeeb added that this time it is one of the rare times that the candidate of the national institutions loses “or was what is known by this name” and the opposition candidate, Khaled al-Balshi, wins.
And he added that the victory of the opposition candidate is unusual, commenting: “I can say that the result was surprising because things do not go in one rhythm and there are multiple tones.”
