Members of the family of the victim, Sayed Khalaf, known in the media as “Fayoum’s lawyer”, who was killed after a horrific assault by his neighbor in the Gharibeh estate of the Al-Alam village, revealed new details in the commission of the crime.
The victim’s family explained that he was always sympathetic to the killer, and was kind to him, and provided him with food, drink and aid, so that minutes before the crime was committed, he was drinking tea with him.
Regarding the reasons for committing the crime, members of the Fayoum lawyer’s family said that the person accused of murder had one married sister, and a dispute arose between her and her husband.
And the family members continued, that about 4 years ago, the accused used to assault his mother and sister, while the murdered lawyer intervened to prevent the accused from hitting his mother, which made his chest fall towards the victim, and the moment came when he pounced on him and treacherously killed him from behind.
A surveillance camera in the street documented the moment the accused assaulted the victim and hit him with an ax on the head, causing his immediate death, before the eyes of his mother, who witnessed the moment the crime was committed.
In the details, Major General Tharwat Al-Mahlawi, the director of Umm Al-Fayoum, received a notification from Colonel Islam Latif, the warden of the Fayoum center, of the death of a young man in his forties, Izbat Al-Gharib, which is affiliated with the media village.
The concerned authorities moved to examine the communication, and the efforts of the research team led by Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Hashem Moftah, Chief Investigator of the Fayoum Center, revealed that the victim was named “Sayed Khalaf,” a lawyer.
It turned out that the victim had intervened to prevent the young man from hitting the accused’s mother, which aroused his anger, and that the victim was sitting in front of the house, and as soon as the accused saw him, he entered his house and went out holding an ax, and hit him from behind, on the head in an ugly way, which caused his death in adverb.
Draw up the necessary legal report for the incident to be presented to the competent investigation authorities to reveal the circumstances of the incident and take the procedures followed in this regard.
