Shafiqur Rahman, chief coordinator of Movement for Development Naogaon and former science and technology affairs secretary of Naogaon district Awami League, thanked the Prime Minister for approving the establishment of a full-fledged university in Naogaon. He said, the university must be located at a logical place. Choose a place that is not too close to the city and not too far from the city. Again, in the selection of the place, the convenience of road and rail communication should also be taken into consideration. He hopes that those who will be responsible for the selection of the site of the university will discuss with people from different levels including the Sudhisamaj, political figures of Naogaon and select a logical place.
However, Naogaon Deputy Commissioner Khalid Mehdi Hasan said that no instructions have been received regarding the selection of the site for the university. He said that the site of the university will be selected after looking at the overall development of the people of Naogaon and the environment suitable for education and research.
