The Speaker of the Jordanian Parliament, Ahmed Al-Safadi, said that our position is firm and solid on the Palestinian issue, especially Jerusalem and the refugees.
This came in a speech by Safadi, today / Saturday / during his sponsorship, the celebration of the Palestinian Affairs Department, the service committees and advisory bodies in the Jordanian camps, on the birthday of King Abdullah II, in the presence of the Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs, Eng. And the Director General of the Palestinian Affairs Department, Eng. Rafiq Kharfan, and a number of notables and sheikhs of the camps.
Al-Safadi said that Jordan is the closest to Palestine, as the blood of the martyrs of its Arab army mixed with its pure soil, stressing that Jordan, its leadership and people have a cause and are in direct contact with the issues of the final solution, on top of which is Jerusalem and the refugee file.
He added that the Jordanian monarch’s positions are firm and solid towards the Palestinian cause in all international forums, the latest of which was his intensive meetings with the pillars of the American administration, led by President Joe Biden, during which he called for stopping the steps of the occupation government and intensifying efforts to support the Palestinian people in obtaining their just and legitimate rights, and the establishment of their state. Independent.
Al-Safadi drew attention to his visit and the parliamentary delegation to Algeria, stressing the support of (54) Islamic parliaments for the Hashemite Custodianship of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Al-Quds Al-Sharif, in addition to their affirmation of the need to support the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees “UNRWA” to continue its work as required.
For his part, Fayez Basbous said that King Abdullah II, during his career and assuming his constitutional powers, focused his vision on national concern as a priority and national dimensions within the framework of the starting points of the Great Arab Revolution and the centrality of the Palestinian dimension and its indivisible interdependence in the context of any transformation that puts Jordan and Palestine on the verge of transformation in the struggle of identities. .
Basbous noted that the presence of the current Israeli government exposed its racist and fascist cover and made a breakthrough in the orientations of world public opinion in favor of the Palestinian cause, in a pivotal shift in the context of the resistance of the Palestinian people on the ground, stressing the importance of the Hashemite guardianship over Islamic and Christian sanctities, and that the Palestine Parliamentary Committee is fully compatible with diplomacy. In highlighting the political dimension of the Hashemite Trusteeship, which establishes the foundations and constants of the Palestine Liberation Organization as the sole and legitimate representative of the Palestinian people in the context of its interim and strategic program based on its program to establish the Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
