In Rajshahi, there was a protest march and rally against the torture and death of two construction workers accused of stealing money. From the rally, the labor leaders have warned that if the murder of these workers is not prosecuted, the construction work will be stopped across the country.
The Rajshahi district branch of the Building Workers Union of Bangladesh (INSAB) organized this protest program on Sunday morning. The procession took off from Ganakapara intersection of the city. With the participation of hundreds of construction workers, the procession went around Sahebbazar and ended at the same place. Earlier, the workers gathered there.
Demanding a fair investigation and speedy trial of the murder of two workers, the labor leaders said in the rally that workers are not the subject of negligence. Because of these construction workers, the infrastructure of the country has developed so much. But a class of people are torturing these workers without evaluating them. Not only torture, inhuman torture and killing. And construction workers will not sit still. From now on, if you hit a brick, you will hit jute. There is no alternative.
