The main roads in the governorates of Cairo and Giza witnessed, during the first peak, this Friday morning, heavy traffic, amid a security presence in the streets and squares to monitor the movement of cars.
Traffic flow appeared in Tahrir Square and the downtown area of Cairo, with regular car traffic at all entrances leading to the square. Traffic also appeared at the highest areas of the Nile Corniche, as well as those heading to the Helwan and King Saleh areas.
The movement of cars was organized at the top of the Ring Road and the 26th of July Corridor. The October Bridge, Roxy Square, Ramses Square, Abdel Moneim Riyad, and the downtown areas witnessed regular car traffic.
The movement of cars, at the highest axes of Giza, witnessed regularity in the streets of Giza, the tourist Nile, the pyramid and the Great Sea, and the circular descent towards Upper Egypt, Al-Warraq and Mariouteya, amid the spread of services in all ways.
The movement of cars was organized on the agricultural road in front of the one coming from the city of Benha and on its way to the Foundation Square and the umbrellas area, as well as along the Nile Corniche from the umbrellas area to Abdel Moneim Riyad Square, amid the presence of traffic men to follow up the traffic.
The Operations Room of the General Directorate of Traffic monitors the movement of vehicles at the highest axes and fields, using the traffic services deployed on the roads, and the movement of cars is monitored by means of surveillance cameras, to monitor any traffic densities in the axes, with the deployment of traffic cranes on the roads to remove any traffic obstacles, whether accidents or breakdowns.
Coordination has also been made with traffic departments at the level of the Republic to provide traffic services, traffic relief vehicles and motorcycles, and coordination with the operations room of the General Traffic Department to notify first-hand about the state of the roads.
