The coordinator of the medical convoys in Cairo, Dr. Karim Fahmy, confirmed the participation of the Ministry of Health for the first time in a mobile car to conduct CT scans and a mobile dental unit in order to provide the best services to citizens, in implementation of the instructions of the Minister of Health, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar.
Fahmy said, in a statement today, Friday, that the Ministry of Health was keen to be present at the Cairo International Book Fair from the first day through 4 mobile clinics with specialties (internal, surgical, pediatric, and dental), which are located outside Hall 1 and Hall 4.
He added that the Psychiatry Unit participates this year in two pavilions inside Hall 1 and Hall 4, and provides free psychological counseling to the visitors of the exhibition, in addition to brochures on mental health.
The coordinator of the medical convoys in Cairo indicated that the ministry provides a mobile unit for the women’s health clinic and early detection of breast cancer, and also provides community communication teams to deal directly with visitors to ensure the implementation of precautionary measures to prevent the Corona virus, and to provide masks and hand sanitizers to maintain public health.
Fahmy added that the emergency services operate throughout the exhibition hours, to deal with minor injuries and fainting cases, and treatment is given to them free of charge. In the event of any chronic diseases or serious injuries, the patient is transferred to the nearest hospital immediately via ambulances available at the exhibition.
