Books – Mahmoud Mustafa Abu Talib:
Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar Gomaa, Minister of Awqaf, witnessed the recitation of senior reciters by Hafs, which is currently being held at the headquarters of the International Holy Quran Competition, in a Cairo hotel in Garden City.
Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar Jumaa, Minister of Awqaf, wept while Sheikh Yasser Al-Sharqawi recited verses from the Holy Quran from Surat Al-Isra.
The recitation is held in the presence of the leaders of the Ministry of Awqaf, the arbitrators and the contestants participating in the International Holy Quran Competition.
The reciter is attended by Sheikh Muhammad Hashad, Captain of the Readers in the Arab Republic of Egypt, Sheikh Mahmoud Al-Khasht, Sheikh Yasser Al-Sharqawi, Sheikh Ahmed Tamim Al-Maraghi, Sheikh and Sheikh Taha Al-Numani, Sheikh Muhammadi Buhairi, Sheikh Muhammad Yahya Al-Sharqawi, Sheikh Muhammad Fathallah Baybars, and Sheikh Yusef Halawa.
A short while ago, the reciters of the Holy Qur’an were launched, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Mukhtar Gomaa, Minister of Endowments, contestants and arbitrators in the International Holy Qur’an Competition, which is scheduled to start tomorrow under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The Minister of Awqaf announced that 3 Qur’anic reciters will be held during the days of the competition, the first of which is today with Hafs’s narration, the second will be recited with recitation, and the third will be with Warsh’s narration. The competition will also include a religious evening with a group of worshipers.
The Minister of Awqaf said that these reciters restored a wide spirit of people gathering around the mosques, stressing that the ministry paid special attention to the establishment of these reciters in the presence of senior reciters, and added a large number of Qur’anic reciters at the level of the Republic.
For his part, Sheikh Muhammad Hashad, Head of the Readers Syndicate, said that the Ministry of Awqaf is making every effort to spread the Noble Qur’an inside and outside Egypt and to serve the Noble Qur’an and its people, adding: “Since 1966 I have attended Qur’anic reciters, but I confirm that Qur’anic reciters have witnessed a great boom now.”
The recitation is being held now with a group of senior reciters, in the presence of Dr. Hisham Abdel Aziz, Head of the Religious Sector, and Sheikh El Sayed Abdel Majeed, Head of the Central Administration for the Holy Qur’an and Mosques Affairs.
