Recently published by the General Authority for Culture Palaces, headed by the artist Hisham Atwa, the book “The Balance between the Poetry of Abi Tammam and Al-Buhturi” by Abi Al-Qasim Al-Hassan bin Bishr Al-Amadi, investigated by Mr. Ahmed Saqr, among the Authority’s publications in the “Ammunition” series, at the 54th Cairo International Book Fair, Currently being held at the Egypt International Exhibition Center.
The book “The Balance” is considered the most famous critical book of “Al-Amidi”, in which it deals with the comparison between Abu Tammam and Al-Buhturi and their two schools of thought according to a scientific approach based on the standards of poetry. , And he used the creative philanthropists without affectation, and he chose them both because they were the most abundant and the best poetry in their era and due to the abundance of trade-offs and rivalries about their art.
Al-Amidi included in his book the opinions of critics who preceded him and added to it his critical vision. He also dealt in the sections of his book with many critical phenomena with which he balanced the position of the two poets and left the final judgment in the comparison between them to the reader, justifying that with the difference of people in science and the difference in their doctrines in poetry.
