Moscow – AA
Russian State Duma deputy Dmitry Belyk warned the United States of the consequences and dangers of its continued support for inflaming the situation in Ukraine, saying: “The American authorities, by supporting the escalation in Kyiv, have turned the Ukrainian people into a kind of endangered neighborhoods.”
“Washington wants to harm Russia at the same time pushing Ukrainians to kill and die, thus turning the Ukrainian people into a kind of ‘endangered species,'” Bilyk said, according to Russia Today news channel.
The Russian official expressed his expectation that Washington would put forward in the near future a path to freezing the conflict in Ukraine, as it realizes the extent of the risks and consequences resulting from its current position in the region.
This statement comes at a time when news reports said that Washington intends to provide more than $ 2 billion in military aid to Kyiv, which may include long-range missiles.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov had confirmed earlier that sending the American “Abrams” tank battalion to Ukraine was a very devastating step on the part of the United States, stressing that it was an attempt to implement an escalation scenario by Washington in Ukraine.
