Tourism revenues increased by 43.5% during the first quarter of the current fiscal year (July-September) 2022-2023, compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year 2021-2022.
The central bank’s report on the performance of the balance of payments during the first quarter of this year showed an increase in tourism revenues to $4.1 billion during the first 3 months of the current fiscal year, compared to $2.8 billion in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
The report attributed the increase in tourism revenues to the increase in the number of tourists coming to Egypt by 52.2%, to record about 3.4 million tourists.
