Baghdad – (AHA):
Today, Monday, the Iraqi Minister of Water Resources, Aoun Diab, discussed with the Egyptian Ambassador to Iraq, Walid Muhammad Ismail, the expansion of the scope of work of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries.
The Iraqi Ministry of Water Resources stated – in a statement today – that the two sides also discussed joint cooperation relations between the two brotherly countries in the field of water resources to enhance and develop them and benefit from the Egyptian experience to transform desert areas into green oases.
Theyab stressed Iraq’s endeavor to activate and expand the scope of work of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries to exchange experiences and activate the work of joint committees between the two sides for the purpose of developing the water resources sector and facing challenges in light of the acceleration of climate changes and their effects on the countries of the world and the region.
For his part, the Egyptian ambassador appreciated the efforts made by the Iraqi minister to promote and develop cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the water resources sector.
