The father of the deceased child inside his apartment in the Ain Shams area revealed the details of his discovery of the incident.
In his statement to the policemen, the child’s father said: “We entered the house and found the apartment smelling bad. I found the body of my son decomposing on the bed in his room.”
He added that his neighbor called him and told him that a foul smell was coming out of the apartment, so he came quickly and discovered its source from the body of his son on the bed.
He indicated that he had traveled with the family for a mid-year vacation, and his son insisted on staying alone. After 4 days, a neighbor spoke to him and told him that he had to open the apartment because of the smell coming out of it.
The father discovered the source of the smell from his son’s body and informed the police, who in turn emptied the cameras to reveal the details of what happened.
A team of investigators and the competent prosecution went to the house as soon as the child’s body was found, and the prosecution ordered that the body be presented to forensic medicine, and that samples be taken from the child’s body for analysis and finding out the causes of the child’s death.
