Hassan Shehata, Minister of Manpower, affirmed the Ministry’s readiness to provide all forms of cooperation with the management of the Canal Sugar Company in Minya, as it is the largest company in the production of white sugar in the Middle East and Africa. This came during the Minister’s meeting this morning, Monday, in his office in the Ministry’s general office, with a delegation from the management of the Canal Sugar Company, headed by Dr. Kamel Abdullah, CEO, to discuss the possibility of joint cooperation between the Ministry and the company.
The Minister directed the competent departments of the Ministry to draft a cooperation protocol that includes what was agreed upon in the meeting, especially with the National Center for Occupational Safety and Health affiliated to the Ministry, explaining that the Ministry has fixed and mobile training centers that are fully prepared to train and qualify workers in Minya for the professions they need. company”.
He pointed out that the ministry’s plan is to develop its curricula, in addition to searching for appropriate mechanisms to integrate contracted and supplied labor for the company under the umbrella of irregular labor to provide all aspects of social and economic care for them, who number more than 15,000 contract workers and suppliers.
For his part, Dr. Kamel Abdullah, CEO of the company, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the minister for this meeting, appreciating the role of the ministry in cooperating with private sector companies and strengthening business relations, reviewing the most important axes that the company is looking forward to cooperating with the ministry in, which are: the field of occupational safety and health and organizing and holding awareness seminars In this regard, the field of vocational training, and the inclusion of farmers in the company, whether workers or suppliers, under the umbrella of state care and protection.
