Fresh poultry prices recorded today, Sunday, about 73.67 pounds, an increase of about 2.59 pounds, compared to their levels yesterday, according to the latest update of the data of the local and international price portal of the Cabinet Information Center.
Egypt produces about 1.6 billion birds annually, and this production achieves self-sufficiency by about 95%, and the gap between production and consumption does not exceed 5%, according to the data of the Poultry Division previously, but the high prices of feed and the import crisis during the past months, caused an imbalance in the market that led to a shortage displayed.
