Giza Governorate notes that the Drinking Water and Wastewater Company has reduced the water pumping level at night for the eastern and western Boulaq al-Dakrour and Umraniya regions, today, Sunday, 1/29/2023, from 12:00 p.m. until 10:00 a.m. tomorrow, Monday, 1/30/2023.
Water will also be cut off from the eastern and western Boulaq al-Dakrour and Umraniya areas from 10 am Monday, corresponding to 1/30/2023 until 10 pm Monday, as part of the implementation of the project to convert the exposed Nahia drain into an alternative covered path to eliminate one of the largest sources of pollution in the areas of Boulaq al-Dakrur and al-Mutamdia. And Nahia Bakradasa and improving the environment for the people of those areas.. and then backfilling it to create an alternative traffic axis to improve traffic in the region.
Major General Ahmed Rashid, Governor of Giza, instructed the Drinking Water and Wastewater Company to provide cars loaded with clean, potable water to move around to meet the needs of citizens, upon request on the emergency number 125.
Major General Ahmed Rashid Ali also stressed the executing authorities of the need to complete the implementation works according to the specified timetable and work to shorten them and not exceed them, directing the heads of the Bulaq Al-Dakrour and Al-Omraniya neighborhoods to follow up and coordinate with the concerned agencies to take the necessary measures in this regard and remove any obstacles that would affect the specified timings.
Giza Governorate calls on citizens living in the aforementioned areas, bakeries, hospitals and service sectors to store their drinking water needs during the period of weak or interrupted pressures.
