The entrances of Chiyah, Ain al-Rummaneh and Tayyouneh are witnessing a heavy deployment of the army, amid the closure of the entrances to Ain al-Rummaneh with barbed wire, according to the Lebanese newspaper An-Nahar.
Security sources told Al-Nahar that the army’s actions on the ground between Al-Shiyah and Ain Al-Rummaneh coincided with invitations distributed for two movements, the first supporting Judge Tariq Al-Bitar and the other supporting Judge Ghassan Oweidat.
Unclear calls were made to gather in front of the Palace of Justice, which called for alertness from the families of the Beirut port victims, who considered that “these calls aim – among other things – at violence and bloodshed in the street, so we hope that everyone will be vigilant and not be dragged behind.” He is trying to drag us into strife, and to follow up on the calls for action that come exclusively from the families of the victims.”
