Aswan – Ehab Omran:
Today, Saturday, the Aswan Health Directorate launched an inspection campaign targeting commercial shops in the city of Kom Ombo, under the supervision of Dr. Ehab Hanafi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health.
Mustafa Abul-Magd, Director General of Preventive Medicine in Aswan, said:
The campaign, with the participation of members of the Food Control Office and supply inspectors, resulted in the seizure of 1,900 kilos of expired sugar, 500 kilos of sugar that did not meet specifications, 80 kilos of food with changed natural properties, and 305 kilos of food that was damaged and unfit for human consumption.
All the seized items were kept, the necessary records of the facts were issued, and the competent prosecution was notified to undertake the investigation.
