US State Department spokesman Ned Price said that everything we offer to Ukraine is to enable it to defend itself and its sovereignty in the face of the Russian invasion.
The American spokesman added – in statements reported by the American “Al-Hurra” channel today, Wednesday – that the tanks that we will provide to Ukraine will be in the long term to achieve a just and lasting peace.
He noted that military aid is being provided to Ukraine in order to strengthen its position at the negotiating table.
US President Joe Biden said earlier that the United States and Europe are fully united in supporting Ukraine, pointing out that the United States will send 31 “Abrams” tanks to Ukraine at the rate of a tank battalion.
