Police and local people said that a bus of Falguni Paribahan heading from Dhaka to Bagerhat collided head-on with another bus of Rupsi Paribahan leaving from Rupsa in Khulna. The front part of the two buses was crushed and at least 13 passengers of both the buses were injured. Local people rescued them and admitted them to Fakirhat Upazila Health Complex.
The doctor on duty declared the young man named Rubel as dead there. The deceased Rubel is the son of Shahidul Islam of Udanpara area of Lalpur upazila of Natore district. He was working in a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Bagerhat.
