Today, Wednesday, the General Directorate of Traffic on all highways and axes distributed roses, the flag of Egypt and chocolates to motorists to strengthen the bonds of love and friendship between policemen and citizens.
This came within the framework of the celebration of the 71st Police Day, and in implementation of the directives of Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, Minister of Interior
This initiative was well received by the citizens, who were keen to congratulate the policemen, and congratulate them on their holiday and the sacrifices they make in order to protect the homeland and citizens.
Last Monday, President El-Sisi witnessed the celebration of the 71st Police Day at the Police Academy Conference Complex in New Cairo, which falls on January 25 of each year.
During the ceremony, President El-Sisi awarded the names of a group of police martyrs, the Medal of the Republic, as an expression of appreciation for their precious sacrifices for the sake of the country and in honor of their families, in addition to awarding medals of distinction to a number of police officers, for their distinguished performance and dedication to work.
President El-Sisi honored a number of families of the heroes of the January 25, 1952 epic, during which the police heroes in Ismailia refused to hand over their headquarters to the British occupation forces. As a result, a number of policemen were killed.
