Pakistan’s former Information Minister Fawad Ahmed Hussain Chowdhury has been detained. He was arrested from his residence in Lahore on Tuesday night local time. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Farooq Habib said this on Twitter on Wednesday morning. News Geo News

Fawad Chowdhury is the Senior Vice President of Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party PTI. Fawad Chowdhury was detained after criticizing the government citing the ongoing efforts to arrest party chief Imran Khan.

Fawad Chowdhury’s arrest, Farooq Habib wrote on Twitter, “The imported government is in trouble.” Later, many PTI leaders and activists uploaded the video of Fawad Chowdhury being arrested and taken away on social media.
