Dr. Mohamed Nady, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Minya, said that the medical teams in family planning clinics provided, during the year 2022, family planning and reproductive health services to one million and 500 thousand and 708 beneficiaries, of whom 181 thousand and 156 were new, and one million and 319 thousand and 471 were reluctant.
Nadi added that the Directorate provided many other services to women in all parts of the villages and centers of the governorate, including the implementation of awareness-raising and health education seminars and dispensing various family planning methods.
Dr. Wafaa Badawi, Director General of the Family Planning Department, stated that 1,491,427 home visits were carried out through rural pioneers, 869,592 women were referred to family planning and reproductive health clinics, health care was provided to 251,134 pregnant women, health care was provided to 204,489 postpartum women, in addition to the implementation of a number of Educational and awareness seminars.
