“Mahlanbish’s efforts have led to widespread use of the Oral Rehydration System (ORS) worldwide, which is estimated to have saved more than five million lives worldwide,” the statement said.
It also said that during the Liberation War, Mahalanwish returned from the United States to stand by the Bangladeshi refugees and saved countless lives by showing the effectiveness of ORS.
